Naomi Clark’s work always feels full of joy, curiosity, and energy. I can picture her dancing in her studio while she paints. Sometimes she’ll drape her paintings over water, like they too were made to move. (I’ve been following her work ever since we were in grad school together.)
On this print, note the rough edge. It’s known as a deckled edge. Historically, a deckled edge was usually the product of handmade paper but now it more often means the paper was torn down to size by hand. When you frame it, you’ll want to float the print on top of a mat to leave that edge exposed.
See more of Naomi’s work on her website or follow her on Instagram. And more prints from Du Good Press.
